Set some goals for 2008 and start down the pathway to success
Goals are important, everyone should set a few goals and work to achieve them. Then at the end of your time frame review the goals, if you don't achieve them all it's OK! The goal is to be able to look yourself in the mirror and be honest with yourself as to why you didn't achieve them.
Even if you don't have a blog you should write a few goals down and put them in a place you can see them. Trust me I tried using a spreadsheet but you never remember to look at a spreadsheet or word document. Put them in a place you will look everyday or often enough to know you set some goals for yourself try a jewelry box, back of the medicine cabinet mirror or door, refrigerator, or whatever you like. It doesn't have to be public but it shouldn't be kept in secrecy either. Most people will respect the fact you are trying to better yourself if they do find out. So don't worry and give it a shot.
So my 2007 goals in no particular order...
1- Graduate from Rollins College with my MBA
2- $50K in my 401(k) Even with full contribution and match this will be tough and heavily rely on the market's performance!
3- Make full contribution $5K to my Roth IRA
4- Have 3 people with RSS feeds to iamokruok (not counting me)
5- Build CaptialCents and have 50 people who are registered users currently there is 1 (we have miles to go for this goal)
6- Complete logo and brand iamokruok
7- Continue to volunteer time to my home owners association (this will basically prevent me from quiting)
8- Paint my condo after graduation and finish my bathroom
So I challenge anyone who reads this to create a list of goals for 2007, don't make resolutions, they are too easy to quit on or forget.
Set goals, hell put your goals in the comments on this site, I guarantee you this site will not disappear before 2009 rolls around.
